Newborn Care
Having a baby is one of the most exciting times in your life, and choosing the right Pediatrician is an important decision. Our providers share your joy and enthusiasm and look forward to beginning this journey together.
East Suburban Pediatrics provides newborn care at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville. Your baby’s care in the Well Baby Nursery will be supervised by one of our doctors who make rounds every day.
Sometimes, babies need some extra support or more intensive care. We partner closely with the Neonatologists at Forbes Hospital and West Penn Hospital should your baby need a higher level of care.
If you deliver at Magee Womens Hospital or another facility, your baby will be in the capable care of the hospital’s neonatal group. You will leave the hospital with a detailed plan to follow up in our office. We cannot wait to meet your new child!

Breastfeeding Services
The experience of breastfeeding is special for many reasons, including bonding with your baby, perfect nutrition only you can provide, cost savings, and health benefits for both mother and baby.
East Suburban Pediatrics is committed to making sure you and your baby have the best breastfeeding experience possible. Whether you are a first-time mom or a new mom again, we recognize breastfeeding is a learned skill. It requires patience and practice. For some women, the learning stages can be frustrating and uncomfortable. The good news is that it can get easier and support for breastfeeding mothers is available in person by our providers.
In addition to breastfeeding education, we will offer you resources and recommendations on products to use at home (such as pumps, nipple shields, and supplemental feeders, if needed).
We will support and guide you to help overcome any issues such as latching or positioning difficulty, engorgement and low milk supply.
Autism
As many as 1 in 31 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
We provide both ongoing and age-specific screening for Autism at your child’s well visits. We know that early detection means earlier access to important therapies that can help maximize your child’s potential.
We will help you and your child navigate the complex medical and education system to get the best quality services available.
As your child grows we will help you plan for all sorts of transitions, including the big step into adulthood.
ADHD
Does your child struggle with focusing? Is he or she constantly on the go? Have you or your child’s teachers been concerned about her learning?
We are here to help you. Schedule a behavior consult with one of our providers so we can guide you through the process of evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. We will help to coordinate a plan with your child’s school so that they can be successful. If medications are needed, our providers will frequently monitor and reassess to make sure your child is always on the right medication, at the right dose.
Asthma and Allergies
